What changed
New features
9- Scan remote folders before connecting — SSH project setup now lets you browse directories on the remote host and choose the workspace root before saving
- Use Scan in the SSH Manager or Add Project SSH tab, move through folders, and pick "Use this folder" when you find the right path
- Scan uses the same key-based access the workspace mount needs, so setup problems show up before you create the project
- Install sshfs from the Files sidebar — when an SSH workspace needs sshfs, 1DevTool now shows an install action directly in the project file tree
- Launch the installer, copy the install command, open Libraries settings, or retry from the same place
- The workspace automatically retries once sshfs is detected
- Reopen AI terminals with a fallback transcript — if an AI agent cannot be matched to a resumable conversation before quit, 1DevTool now keeps a capped copy of the last terminal output so the tab does not reopen blank
- The restored transcript appears above the fresh agent session, making it clear where the previous output ends
- Auto-detect OpenCode sessions — OpenCode joins Claude, Codex, Gemini, and Qwen in automatic session detection, so OpenCode terminals can resume the right conversation after restart
Improvements
6- Keep AI session restore alive longer — AI terminals now keep watching for the first real conversation even after an idle tab sits open for several minutes
- A final save-time sweep catches resumable sessions before the app quits, including conversations resumed from an agent's own picker
- Remount SSH workspaces from the status bar — the SSH status pill is now clickable, giving you a direct way to refresh a remote workspace after a server restart, sleep, or network drop
- Recover stale SSH mounts automatically — switching back to an SSH project now checks whether the mount is still alive and refreshes it when needed
- Show clearer SSH setup guidance — missing sshfs, unreachable hosts, failed mounts, key-auth failures, host-key problems, and missing remote paths now get distinct messages with next steps
- Set better terminal persistence expectations — the quit dialog and Libraries settings now explain that shell tabs persist through tmux while AI agent tabs use conversation resume or transcript restore
Bug fixes
6- Fixed AI terminals reopening blank after restart — idle agent tabs, older resumed conversations, and busy multi-terminal workspaces are much more likely to restore the right conversation automatically
- Fixed SSH projects requiring an app restart to recover — dead or stale remote mounts can now be retried, remounted, or refreshed without restarting 1DevTool
- Fixed SSH mount failures timing out without the real reason — authentication, host-key, connection, and missing-path errors now fail faster and show the actionable cause
- Fixed home folders mounting incorrectly on SSH projects — ~ and ~/... paths now resolve as the remote home folder instead of being treated as literal folder names
- Fixed failed macOS SSH mount retries poisoning later mounts — failed fuse-t retries now clean up leftover helper processes so later remote workspaces can mount normally
- Fixed sshfs installed in custom locations being missed — SSH workspace mounting now honors the app's Extra PATH setting and the same broader path lookup used elsewhere
