v1.79.0October 16, 2026
Mention any project or a whole group from Agent Input
Agent Input's @ picker now lists your projects the way the sidebar does, so you can mention any project, or a whole group of projects, without setting up a workspace first. The picker's tabs fit their labels, Tab and Shift+Tab skip empty tabs, and three fixes stop doubled startup commands, terminals closed by a second copy of 1DevTool, and out-of-memory crashes in repositories with thousands of changed files.

What changed
New features
3- Mention any project or group from the @ picker — the Projects tab now lists your projects the way the sidebar does, with groups and nested groups in the same order; pick a project to mention it, or pick a group to mention every project in it
- You no longer need a workspace to mention another project; workspaces this project belongs to still lead the list as one row that mentions all of their projects
- Two mentions with the same name are told apart in the chip, such as Web · group
Improvements
3- @ picker tabs that fit — each tab is sized to its label with its count beside it, so Templates is no longer cut off; tabs with nothing to show are dimmed, and the selected tab stays readable in every Agent Input theme
- Tab and Shift+Tab skip empty tabs — in the @ picker, Shift+Tab now moves back instead of forward, and both skip tabs with no results; the footer names where each key goes, and an empty tab offers shortcuts to the tabs that do have matches
- The @ picker fits narrow windows — in a pop-out terminal the picker shrinks to the window and its tabs scroll sideways instead of running off the left edge
Bug fixes
5- Fixed a terminal's startup command showing twice — an AI agent launch, a project startup command or a machine's
sshline printed once at the top with no prompt, then again after the prompt; 1DevTool now waits until the shell is ready to read input before typing the command, so it appears once - It happened on every terminal running inside tmux with a startup command, and on others when the shell took longer than two seconds to start, such as while many agents were running
- Fixed open terminals suddenly ending with
Process exited with code 0— starting a second copy of 1DevTool, such as a development or test build, could close terminals in the copy you were using, most often when it was started from a shell that runs inside tmux; 1DevTool now only cleans up tmux sessions it created itself - Fixed 1DevTool running out of memory in a repository with thousands of changed files — each new AI terminal read every uncommitted file into memory for Git Diff, so a few terminals could crash the app; Git Diff now caps how much it reads when a session starts
- Past that cap, a file the agent changes still shows in Git Diff, but without a line-by-line diff and without Revert
