Draw a Diagram by Describing It

Describe a diagram in the Draw canvas prompt bar and an installed AI CLI inserts real shapes, arrows and labels next to whatever you already sketched. Everything it generates stays editable — never a flat image you have to redraw to change.

Why You Need This

How this feature boosts your daily productivity

Asking an AI for an architecture diagram normally gets you a picture: fine to look at, useless the moment a box is wrong, because fixing it means going back to the prompt and regenerating the whole thing. Here the model writes canvas elements, so every box and arrow can be moved, recoloured and edited like anything you drew yourself. The new elements arrive selected, so a single undo or Delete removes the whole diagram if it missed the point, you choose which installed AI writes it from the gear next to the prompt bar, and a generation that fails retries itself once before showing you what the model actually returned instead of a generic error.

How It Works

Get started in 4 simple steps

1
1

Open the prompt bar

The Draw canvas gains a prompt bar above your sketch. Pick which installed AI CLI writes the diagram from the gear beside it.

2
2

Describe the diagram

Type what you want and the model writes canvas elements — real shapes, arrows and labels placed next to whatever you already drew, not a flat image pasted on top.

3
3

Keep or undo it

The generated elements arrive selected, so one undo or one Delete removes the whole diagram if it missed the point. You can also cancel a generation mid-flight.

4
4

Edit it like your own

Every box and arrow can be moved, recoloured and edited. A failed generation retries itself once, then shows you what the model actually returned.
