Why You Need This
How this feature boosts your daily productivity
Cursor keeps every chat locally, but until now none of it reached the places you look for past work. Resume AI Sessions listed Claude, Codex, Gemini and the rest while Cursor conversations stayed invisible, and Reader Mode could only show what the terminal had scrolled — mid-word line breaks, raw `**markdown**`, and a long session cut down to the few hundred words still on screen. Cursor now reads like every other agent: its conversations are listed with titles and previews and resume with a click, Reader Mode shows the parsed conversation on the desktop and on your phone, and a Cursor terminal captures its session so the tab names itself after the conversation and comes back to it after a restart.

Work in a Cursor terminal
Start cursor-agent as an AI terminal. The tab captures its session, so it names itself after the conversation once there is one.
Find it in Resume AI Sessions
Past cursor-agent conversations for the current project are listed alongside every other agent, each with its title and a preview of the exchange.
Pick one to resume
Selecting a conversation resumes it like any other agent. 1DevTool resumes the specific chat when it knows the id, and opens Cursor’s own picker when it does not.
Read it properly
Reader Mode renders the parsed conversation — on the desktop and on the phone — instead of scraping the visible screen, so the full session reads as a conversation.
