Devin CLI
Cognition's `devin` binary joins the built-in line-up with its own brand mark, colour and live status everywhere the other agents appear. Open a Devin terminal from New Terminal, resume a past session by the name Devin gave it, read the real transcript in Conversation and Reader Mode, and delegate to it from Agent Input, spawn chips and the orchestrator.

Why You Need This
How this feature boosts your daily productivity
An agent that lives outside 1DevTool is an agent you babysit in its own window, with its own session list and no way to hand it work from anywhere else. As a built-in, Devin is a peer rather than a special case: the Resume dialog lists its sessions by the name it generated — `quiver-socks`, not a UUID — with title, folder and message count from every project on the machine, and a rename here is picked up by Devin's own `/title`. Models come from your own Devin account, reasoning-effort variants included; MCP servers install into Devin's config alongside Claude, Gemini and Cursor; and skills and `AGENTS.md` rules are found in both your user directory and the project. When the model list comes back empty, Settings tells you to run `devin auth login` instead of leaving you to guess you were signed out.

Devin appears in the AI Agents list like every other engine, opening with its own brand mark, colour and live status in the tab strip, the dashboard and Mission Control.
Resume by the name Devin gave it
The Resume dialog lists Devin’s own session names — `quiver-socks`, not a UUID — with title, folder and message count from every project on the machine.
Read the real transcript
Conversation and Reader Mode show the prompts you typed at the start, so a session you continued or Devin compacted is still readable end to end.
Delegate to it like anything else
Agent Input, spawn chips and the orchestrator all target Devin; routing picks it for implementation, review and cheaper scout work on the same terms as the rest.
Point it at your own account and tools
Models come from your Devin account, reasoning-effort variants included. MCP servers install into Devin’s config, and skills and `AGENTS.md` rules are read from both your user directory and the project. Signed out, Settings tells you to run `devin auth login`.
