Linked Terminals
Mention an AI terminal you already have open and your prompt is delivered into that live agent instead of spawning a new one. The delivered message carries who sent it and the exact command to answer, so the result comes back to you.

Why You Need This
How this feature boosts your daily productivity
You already have Claude reading a spec in one pane and Codex holding the whole repo in its context in another. Handing work between them used to mean copying an answer out of one terminal and pasting it into the other, or letting the app start a third agent that knows nothing about either conversation. Linked Terminals routes the prompt into the agent that is already warmed up, and routes its answer back — so two agents that were sitting side by side finally work as a pair.
How It Works
Get started in 4 simple steps
Type @ in Agent Input
The mention picker opens with a Terminals tab beside Files, Agents, and Templates. It lists every open AI terminal, grouped by project and searchable by terminal or project name.
Pick the terminal you want to do the work
↑↓ navigates, ↵ inserts, Tab switches tabs. The mention lands inline and highlighted, so the prompt reads like a sentence naming its own collaborators.
Mention this terminal to open a reply channel
Adding this terminal in the same message creates the reply edge. Without it the peer is told it has no channel back and prints its answer locally instead.
Send and watch the panes rearrange
A project running live orchestration switches to the 2×2 grid so you can watch the participants. Changing the layout yourself always wins.
