Pair the 1DevTool iPhone App

A phone you pair should get the access you meant to give it, not whatever a prompt defaulted to while you were holding the phone in one hand. Settings → Remote → Phone puts Role for the next device next to the pairing code: Viewer, Approver, Operator or Admin, chosen before the phone scans. The QR code carries no authority; the role is read when the code is redeemed, so changing it applies to the code already on screen. Connection type decides how the phone reaches you: Automatic tries this network first and then Tailscale when it is running, Local Network keeps it on your Wi-Fi, and Tailscale lets the phone reach the computer from anywhere on your tailnet. Show the code full screen fills the window with the QR so you can scan it from across the desk.
