Why You Need This
How this feature boosts your daily productivity
An agent that is only half-integrated is worse than one you never added: prompts land somewhere you cannot see, delegation skips it, and its past sessions are lost. Pi is wired in the same way every other agent is. Prompt delivery, model chips, slash commands and headless sends work as they do elsewhere, and team delegation treats a Pi seat like any other — it can take a role in an org chart, a stage in a pipeline, or a work type in the Router. Past Pi sessions appear in the Resume panel and can be read turn by turn in Sub-agent History. 1DevTool launches your locally installed pi binary; it does not bundle or download the CLI for you.
How It Works
Get started in 4 simple steps
Install the pi CLI
The installed binary is plain `pi`; running it through `npx @earendil-works/pi-coding-agent` normalizes to the same agent.
Open it like any other agent
Pi appears in Add Terminal, Change AI, and every other agent picker once the CLI is on your machine.
Use the surfaces you already use
Prompt delivery, model chips, slash commands, headless sends and team delegation behave the way they do for your other agents.
Resume and read back
Past Pi sessions reopen from the Resume panel and can be read turn by turn in Sub-agent History.
