Session Inspector

Every agent session in range in one sortable table, then open one to see where it actually went — a “Where tokens go” split plus the tools it ran, the MCP servers it called and the skills it fired.

Why You Need This

How this feature boosts your daily productivity

“How many sessions ran” is a number; “where did that session's tokens go” is the question you are really asking when a run costs more than it should. The Sessions tab in Analytics filters by title, project, agent or session id and sorts by start, span, tokens, tools, MCP calls or skills. Opening a row splits the token bill into input, output, cache and reasoning, estimates tool-turns against plain text-turns, and lists the tools, MCP servers and skills the session used, with a pill that says how complete the scan was rather than quietly under-reporting. Pick a second row to compare two sessions side by side.

How It Works

Get started in 4 simple steps

1
1

Open Analytics → Sessions

Press ⌘⇧A, then the Sessions tab. Every session in the current range lands in one table.

2
2

Narrow it

Filter by title, project, agent or session id, then sort by start, span, tokens, tools, MCP calls or skills.

3
3

Open one session

A “Where tokens go” split (input, output, cache and reasoning) plus the tools it ran, the MCP servers it called and the skills it fired, with an estimate of tool-turns against plain text-turns.

4
4

Check coverage, then compare

A pill says how complete the scan was instead of quietly under-reporting. Pick a second row to put two sessions side by side.

The manual way vs. the 1DevTool way

The Hard Way

# that run cost more than it should
$ wc -l ~/.claude/projects/**/*.jsonl
# no per-session token split
# no idea which tools it called
# guess from the transcript

The 1DevTool Way

Analytics -> Sessions
sort: tokens | tools | MCP calls | skills
Where tokens go: in / out / cache / reasoning
Tools ran, MCP servers called, skills fired
Pick a second row -> compare
