What the free plan gives you, what a $29 one-time licence unlocks, and how to activate it.
1DevTool is $29, once. No subscription, no monthly fee, no seat limits, and updates are included.
What free gives you
The free plan is a real tool, not a countdown. You get the workspace, terminals, AI agents, the editor, the browser panel, the Git client, the HTTP client, the database client, and the ToolBox — with limits on how many terminals a project can hold and how many projects a workspace can group.

Settings → License shows a Free vs Pro comparison side by side, so the answer to "does my plan include this?" is one page rather than a support question.
When you hit a limit
Reaching a limit shows a focused prompt that highlights exactly the feature you reached, rather than a generic upgrade wall. If you are batch-opening terminals, the per-project limit is compared against the total the batch would create, so you are told to trim before anything is opened.
Already bought a key? Since v1.85.1 the limit prompts let you enter it on the spot. The terminal limit in New Terminal, the project limit in Add Project and in Templates, and Project Settings have an Enter License button, and the upgrade dialog has Already have a key? Enter License under its main button. Each one opens Settings → License.
Activating a licence
Paste your licence key into Settings → License and activate. The licence is tied to your key, not to a machine you have to deauthorize.
StoicSoft bundle keys
1DevTool is one of several StoicSoft apps, and it is sold in StoicSoft bundles as well as on its own. A bundle comes with one key that starts with SS-, and that key activates every app in the bundle. Paste it into Settings → License the same way as a 1DevTool key; existing 1DevTool keys keep working exactly as before.
With a bundle key, the licence page names your bundle (for example "You've got The AI Stack.") and says 1DevTool Pro comes with that key, along with the other apps it unlocks.
Checking your licence also picks up changes made to your key after you activated it, such as a higher device limit or a bundle name, so you don't have to activate again.
Bundles and loyalty discounts
The StoicSoft card on the licence page lists the bundles that include 1DevTool, with today's prices and savings. Once you have Pro, it shows the discount on your next StoicSoft app instead, from 15% off a second app up to 35%.
If you already own a bundle, the card lists the other apps your key unlocks and your discount on the next one. StoicSoft Complete owners see the apps to install and Add devices rather than bundle offers.
